Basketball 1/15/2011

OMGeeeeeeeee! Is it softball season YET??? LOL! Ashleigh was a bit overwhelmed this first week but in the end... she LOVES basketball. They call her and Alexus(a teammate) the twin towers because they are super tall.. ;) Go #44! They had a bye week last week and a double header this Saturday! She scored 6 pts and has some MAD defense skills!! I was the overly excited mom that promised myself I was just going to sit back and be a normal parent.. no team mom, no coach/ coach's wife.. no board member.. just mommy the cheerleader.. Go #44.. right??  Uhmmm.. not so much! Oh well. I have an oz of OCD and ... well... I am "team helper".  I helped getting the snack sign ups going, helped the coach with the girls during pictures and little things here and there. For softball we have shirts made and no one had mentioned anything for basketball so I made my own.. which might I add was very fun! Here are some pics of Ashleigh's basketball season thus far. ;)

Bye 2010... Welcome 2011

12/2010 This month was just wonderful I was able to take the last 2 weeks off with my kids and nothing has ever been as fun or as heart warming as the last 2 weeks have been. Lee Roys parents met us for dinner which was nice to finally see them.. I think it had actually been more than a year since LR and I had seen them and I know longer for the kids. This week I baked with my kids and just spent as much time with them as I could. I work from home but this was special.. 100% of me to them and 100% back from them. Christmas Eve was A*M*A*Z*I*N*G!! As always we spend it with my parents and we did again this year. The kids even helped me clean house cause they were UBER excited for them to come over. We had a total MEXICAN style Christmas, because that is our culture.. homemade tamales, rice, beans(that I made from scratch.. no cans here honey!!) and family all around. My momma, dad, A&J's favorite Aunt Tina, gma and the kids. The kids got a SUPER DOUBLE dose of Christmas. We all opened gifts with my family then once Lee Roy got home it was our time for the 4(5 including Kyle.. cuz that's how I roll.. don't judge me.. haha!) Saturday morning.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS! Lee Roy and I were invited to spend Christmas brunch with Kyle's parents at there house and with all of their family.. that was super swwet and so fun. Kyle's parents are such a blessing and we just love them SO much. They just LOVE my Lee Roy too... like a SON and warms my heart to see us ALL get along. Nana Sandy and Aunt Debbie(Kyle's momma and sis)made a wonderful spread... now those ladies.. CAN COOK! It was so yummy! Thank you Clark Family for including us on such a special day.. I love new traditions with people that really love you just the way we are! Sunday 12/26 was Great-grandmother day and we all went to her nursing home and made it special for her. Here are some pics of December 2010. From La Familia Russell to you, we hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and wish you all love and blessings for 2011.

And Big L stikes again.. He and the kids gave me 2 bags yay!

J.. being silly.. trying to be "gangsta" LOL
