Offer Letter ~ Promotion for ME!

I had a job interview March 10th and was offered the job March 12th. GOD is so awsome! I was asked not to say anything yet by my new boss until I received the offical offer letter from HR. I called my prayer circle and told them the good news. I wanted to THANK my mom, dad, husband, sister and grandmothers for praying for me. We have been under a lot of pressure in my current group and it was becoming more obvious it was not for me. I asked God to show me a new path if there was one and you know what happens when you ask GOD? In his time and way he delivers! With age I guess I have come to realize that having faith and believing in GOD makes you who you are.

My BABIES are home!!

For the 3rd year, Kyle has taken the kids to Orlando for Spring break. They just love it. They stay at the Nick Hotel & Resort. A week full of Nickelodeon fun, Disney World Magic and Universal Studios excitement. They left Monday 3/16 and I usually do well Monday - Wednesday with them gone BUT...... Come Thursday I am just sick to my stomach with missing them. I know a break is good for me from our day to day life BUT those are MY babies and NO one loves them more than me. I missed them SO MUCH! Thank you Lord for bringing them home safe!

Birthday Bash! Happy Brthday Everybody!

March is super busy for our family with birthdays.

My Mom - 3/06
My Dad - 3/07

My uncle Juan's puppy Coqueta - 3/10 :0)
My uncle Juan - 3/14
MY WONDERFUL HUBBY - 3/15

My Aunt Santa - 3/20
Gavin(Henry's son) - 3/28

Instead of having to go through major unnecessary drama in trying to plan dinner for each of them I just had one HUGE party for them all. We had everyone bring a side dish and Lee Roy and I provided the meat. It gave my family a chance to be together and enjoy family that we do not get to always spend time with very often. My cousins came in from Tech and we ate and ate and enjoyed our time together. Oh did I mention it was all done in the dark.. actually by candlelight.. yeah not funny! Lee Roy had just brought in the meat and we were seating and serving when... OUT GOES THE POWER! URGGHHH!!! I was so upset but EVERYONE still had a blast and didn't let it kill the party BUZZ!

Just a little something to think about

A Daily Word from Pastor Graham
March 9, 2009
See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God; that no “root of bitterness” springs up and causes trouble, and by it many become defiled.
-- Hebrews 12:15
We’ve all been hurt or mistreated by others. It’s part of life. And the truth is, we can’t change the past. And it does no good to ask “Why?” All we can do is move forward.

Yet one of the things that holds most people from moving on from hurts in life is unforgiveness.

If your heart has been broken, but you want to get on with your life today, you must forgive. You can never fully realize the grace of God in your own life if you are harboring hate, bitterness, resentment, or pain from your past.

But what if you don’t forgive? Today we’ll look at the consequences of unforgiveness. And tomorrow we’ll see how you can begin the process of forgiveness.

The first consequence of unforgiveness is that it will contaminate your personality with bitterness.

It’s like a weed that grows out of control in your life. When you become bitter, you become negative and critical. Anger and resentfulness can grow unchecked, and before you even realize it, joy and happiness has been choked out of your life.

If left unchecked, unforgiveness will devour your relationships and jeopardize your future. Bitterness can spread to your marriage and be passed along to your children from generation to generation. Worst of all, unforgiveness can rob you of a growing relationship with God.

YOU CAN NEVER FULLY REALIZE THE GRACE OF GOD IN YOUR OWN LIFE IF YOU ARE HARBORING BITTERNESS FROM YOUR PAST.

Dr Appointments went Ok, I have some work to do!

OK so things definitely could have been better but the great news is that I have the power to control it! I went to the sweetest most honest, strait forward Dr. I have ever been to in my life. He doesn't make you feel like crap when he talks to you and takes all the time in the world to explain things to you. My mom and dad have been seeing Dr. Cohen for a long time and said I should try him out... WAS THE BEST THING I EVER DID! I went yesterday so that he could help me with medication to start monitoring and managing my diabetes right! My husband who is an angel took the day off with me yesterday to be right there with me through the whole thing. I had been a bit anxious with the lab work I received Tuesday and he was not comfortable letting me go unless he went too! See this is why I LOVE this man, he has been a true blessing in my life.

Week full of Dr appointments ~ For Me

Monday I had an appointment with my OBGYN to discuss a few things and to have my well woman visit. Thank God for insurance! My labs came back and I have had to schedule additional appointments this week. I know God has his timing for everything and cannot give anyone more than they can handle. Please pray for these visits this week! :)

I know God is in control and I have faith that whatever comes my way I can handle. I think I am dealing more with anger issues than anything else. I am frustrated at what I have heard this far, not hopeless.

Nana and Papa Are moving IN!!!! WOOHOO!!

Since we had Jonathon's party last year, Kyle's parents have really liked our Apartment community here in Euless. So .... GUESS WHAT?????!?! They are moving into the complex. ISN'T THAT SO GREAT?!? They will be a scooter ride away from my babies and they are SUPER excited! They will be 3 buildings down from us. Jonathon and Ashleigh are counting down the days! Kyle's mom is going to retire this April or May and will get to spend a lot of time with the kids this summer. She is so funny but OUR relationship is funny too. We are all 1 big family. We kept it that way for the kids. Last year she was in the hospital and she tells me... "You know Valerie, We really like Lee Roy, he is just so great!" Isn't that funny?? i asked my mom about it and she kinda laughed but told me.. Well Val, that's because as long as us grandparents see our grandkids happy like Jonathon and Ash, that makes us SO happy. My mom said that they see Lee Roy working so hard to provide for his family and always has my and the kids best interest in mind and at heart! He is a sweetheart! ;0)
